For you Lotus Drivers!!

I hope all is well.   Just wanted to take a moment to invite you and the rest of the Lotus club to the second Annual Great Dixie Brit Car Rallye on Saturday, April 14th   (see attached registration form).  The competition is really just an excuse to have fun and enjoy driving our cars on scenic roads. The driving instructions that you will receive on the day of the event give distances and times with directions to turn, but no road names, so the challenge is to stay on course. If you get hopelessly lost, there will be a fail-safe envelope with directions (opening the envelope cost you points), so you won't miss lunch or the awards party. The teams who arrive at the checkpoints and the finish line closest to their assigned time win. It's that simple.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact myself or Harold Kelly, our Rallymaster at (904) 260-2984, or email: rallymaster@jagdriver.org.  Please send in your registration as soon as possible, as the event is limited to the first 30 British cars.  Also, please distribute this email to the rest of your club.

Lotus Alex Job Racing has taken delivery of its new Lotus Evora race car. The newest American Le Mans Series GT-class competitor was delivered last weekend to the team's shop.

According to a team release, principal Alex Job signed the delivery sheet for the Evora GT and the team began to unpack six crates of spares and other parts. The team now begins to prepare the car for its debut at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 14.

???The crew at Lotus Motorsport in Hethel has done a lot of the preparation already,??? Job said. ???We have a lot of work to do on the car to get it ready for Long Beach and its first trip through the ALMS technical inspection tent. Although the list is long, it is a new challenge and one the team is fully embracing.???

The No. 23 Lotus Alex Job Racing Evora GT with support from Battery Tender, William Rast and Yokohama will be driven by Bill Sweedler and Townsend Bell.
