Some people may have been left scratching their head when hip-hop artist and producer Swizz Beatz was officially appointed as the Vice President of Creative Design and Global Marketing for Lotus, but World Imports USA knows that the British automaker wouldn't have done so without good reason. Recently, we were given some insight into the company's move when they unveiled a special edition of the Lotus Evora GTE in New York City.
The invitation-only event featured a wide range of prominent figures in both the hip-hop and automotive communities. The centerpiece of the whole thing, of course, was the grand unveiling, and it certainly did not disappoint. While some were worried that the vehicle's sequential gearbox, lightweight forged alloy rims, and Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres would somehow be muddled by the fact that Swizz Beatz has no automotive background were thrilled to see these specific aspects fully intact.
What changed about the vehicle then? It's paint job. While this might seem like a minor change to make, there's no doubt that the impact was huge. The red-chrome finish stands out in great contrast to the vehicle's black roof, rear-spoiler, and tires, complimenting the aggressive body as well.
"My fulltime gig is just being a creative mind. Everything fits into the puzzle of creativity and art,"1 explains Swizz Beatz, whose real name is Kasseem Dean. Merely saying that this vehicle is a work art is an understatement if you ask us. Dean's final touch tops the vehicle off perfectly, and we can't wait to see what he has in store next! His unique style and taste will surely compliment any new Lotus model that finds its way onto our lot at 11650 Beach Blvd Jacksonville, FL 32246.
