When we here at World Imports USA think of Porsche, we don't typically consider two-wheel transportation without an engine. But that's exactly what the German automaker is conjuring up images of with the release of two new bicycle models. Intrigued? We thought you might be.

And if you're not, then the fact that these two new bicycle models have been heavily inspired by the Porsche 911 might boost you're level of interest some. Porsche engineers used the edgy sports car to draw inspiration to make the bikes as light as possible, while still performing as well as those equipped with the latest bells and whistles.

And how is this possible? Simply put, in the same way that they would in a race car: by using carbon fiber... and lots of it. The Porsche Racing Sport (RS) bike features a 29-inch frame that's loaded with the lightweight material. It weighs only 19.8 pounds, and it's equipped with a 20-gear set from Shimano.

Then there's the Porsche S. Like its name, it's simple and to the point, featuring the same build quality and design as the Porsche RS. However, it's equipped with a hydroformed aluminum frame, carbon-fiber forks, and a Shimano 11-speed Alfine gear system.
