Michael Schumacher. Sebastian Vettel. Tom Kristensen. What do these three Formula One drivers have in common? Each suffered defeat in the 2012 Race of Champions by Lotus F1 Racing, and driver Romain Grosjean.

At World Imports USA, we must say it's a pretty big accomplishment. Why? Well, for one, the three aforementioned drivers are some of the most successful in F1 history. Secondly, it definitely solidifies Lotus on the racing scene, and is a sign of good things to come.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Race of Champions, allow us to explain. Drivers compete in a series of head-to-head races in a tournament format until a winner is crowned. For Lotus driver Grosjean, that meant going up against Vettel, the reigning Formula One champion in the quarterfinals. After he fought off his challenger, an even tougher test awaited. That would be Schumacher, an eight-time F1 champion, and considered one of the best racers in modern Formula One history. Still, Grosjean and the Lotus prevailed.

In the final, which became a best of three series, Tom Kristensen stood between Grosjean, Lotus, and the title. An eight-time Le Mans winner, Kristensen would certainly not make it a walk in the park. However, it was a clean sweep for Lotus as Grosjean registered a 2-0 victory, and claimed another title for the racing team.
