When there's cause for celebration, you can count on us here at World Imports USA to come and report to you right here on the blog. Today's news comes from Infiniti with the production launch of the new Q50 in Japan. What's even more exciting is that we're not just talking about a press conference or the specs; we're talking about the Infiniti President and Nissan CEO taking an actual test drive of the Infiniti Q50 and then speaking to its merits.
It was an exciting day in Tochigi, Japan. It was a beautiful day for a ride with a jovial energy, but even more so, it marked the beginning of a new journey for the Infiniti brand. Infiniti President Johan de Nysschen explains:
"Q50 really earmarks the new design direction, new brand philosophy for Infiniti. It is a major step forward in terms of technology, engineering, design and it really sparks Infiniti's big leap upward as we reposition the brand."1
Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn also expressed great confidence in the Q50's role. After testing both the Q50 and Q50 Hybrid, Ghosn reported that the power, stability, acceleration, comfort and flat ride were all components that will make the model stand out. He even mentioned the noise comfort of the car and the breaks were pleasing, and the driving the hybrid is similar to driving a sports car.
Ghosn added that the model is not only sought out, but it's actually the No.1 most sold model and is therefore the "bread and butter of the brand," so it plays a heavy role in the global market.1
The model will be in direct competition with the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C Series, and Audi A4. It will be produced by the reputable Tochigi plant.
Although we still have to wait quite a while to see the Q50 here, we still offer a variety of used Infiniti models here in Jacksonville, FL that reflect the company's promise of performance and luxury. Come by at your convenience!
