There's no such thing as "too safe" when it comes to operating/occupying a vehicle. We carry brands here at World Imports USA that are dedicated to offering the safest and latest technologies to ensure a smooth ride. One of those brands is Volkswagen which is working to build and enhance several safety features as part of its project "Vision Zero."

Here's a look at what Vision Zero entails:

  • Remote Control Parking: This enables the driver to park the car with a smartphone or remote control. The space just needs to be wide enough for the vehicle, and if the driver is tight for space getting into the vehicle, the remote will move the car one car's length worth to provide access
  • Another feature in this initiative is Trailer Assist system. This feature assists the driver back the vehicle with a trailer hitched on the back
  • Automated parking assist: have trouble parallel parking? This feature can do it for you, and it will stop will stop appropriately in order to prevent an accident.
  • CAR2X safety: communication at its finest--this technology is a vehicle-to-vehicle-to-traffic-signal  that uses a public wireless network to communicate with vehicles and traffic signals
  • Emergency Assist: careful driving is of highest importance, but--we are human and things happen unexpectedly. This feature takes control of braking, steering and the throttle to keep the car where it should
  • Area View: talk about visibility--this feature uses high-resolution images to display not only the obstacles around the vehicle, but also directions how to get around them.

That's not the complete list, but it gives you a look at just how serious Volkswagen is about the safety of their loyal customers. We're sure we'll hear more from Volkswagen and its progress to deliver excellence. Keep up with us here on our blog.

We are fortunate to carry a variety of used Volkswagen vehicles here in Jacksonville, FL, so if you're in the city or in areas like Ponte Vedra Beach or San Marco, FL, stop on in! We look forward to your visit!
