Those of you who follow our World Imports USA blog already know that one of our preferred automakers, BMW, has taken the ecofriendly sector by storm. Sure, we've got plenty of used BMW vehicles in Jacksonville, FL that will thrill you in the drivers' seat as they spare you at the pump already, but this latest wave of green machines is truly something worth talking about.
It turns out that the German auto outfit is investing even more into the new territory than we initially realized. Along with the highly-touted i3 and i8 releases, BMW is working on a 3 Series plug-in hybrid to complement their sub-brand of environmentally conscious offerings.
The proposed vehicle will come equipped with a capable 2-liter turbo mill that delivers 192-hp. That power will be supplemented by an electric motor to kick the output up to 270 ponies. Furthermore, the model should be able to cover up to 20 miles solely on a electric power.
