TRIBUTE TO A LEGEND.

In 1965, Jim Clark and Team Lotus secured their place in the hearts of motorsport enthusiasts for generations. Dominating Formula 1, the European and British Formula 2, the Tasman Series, and the Indy 500, they claimed all major racing titles within a single year.

To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of this remarkable achievement, Lotus presents The Clark Edition Emira. This limited edition special consists of only 60 cars worldwide and features a striking livery inspired by the iconic race cars driven by the legendary Scottish driver who ruled the tracks.

THE BEST OF THE BEST
Jim Clark is regarded by many—including legendary drivers like Fangio and Senna—as the most naturally talented and greatest driver ever. As his friend, rival, and fellow Scottish racing icon Sir Jackie Stewart said:

“His driving was so smooth, so clean. As if he caressed the car into doing the things he wanted it to do.”

His reputation as a true gentleman both on and off the track also made him a remarkable champion.

A TALE TOLD IN NUMBERS

A true racing enthusiast, Jim Clark won 25 of his 73 Formula 1 races, earned 2 World Championships, secured 33 pole positions, achieved 8 Grand Chelems (pole, fastest lap, race win, leading every lap), and won the Belgian GP in 1963 by nearly 5 minutes over the runner-up.

But nothing matched his accomplishments in 1965.

In 63 races, he claimed 31 wins, 8 podium finishes, and 5 championships, including the prestigious Indy 500 victory. Clark was known for driving and winning in any racecar.

THE INDY 500 VICTORY

Previous attempts at the Indy 500 were marred by controversy and misfortune, but in 1965, Clark triumphed with elegance and determination in the iconic Green and Yellow Lotus Type 38.

The car featured an aluminium monocoque chassis, a naturally aspirated 500hp Ford DOHC V8 engine, and an offset suspension designed for the track’s left-hand turns.

This historic win marked a highlight of the mid-engine revolution, with Chapman’s designs dominating the Top 10—Lotus cars finished 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, and 9th.

EMIRA. HANDCRAFTED IN HETHEL

The Clark Edition is based on the pure Emira—the most accomplished Lotus sports car. It boasts supercar aesthetics, unmatched performance, a stunning interior, and premium comfort.

The chosen Emira is the V6 model, equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and a supercharged 3.5 V6 engine. This is complemented by an exceptional in-car experience, featuring ergonomic controls, tactile instruments, and high-resolution displays that provide an unparalleled level of control and enjoyment.

The Clark Edition delivers exhilarating performance, raw engine power, and precise handling at every turn in an impressive manner.

INSPIRED BY TYPE 38
The hand-painted Clark livery revives some of the famous Team Lotus racing cars from the 1960s, when Colin Chapman and Jim Clark captivated the racing world.

It features Indy Green bodywork with Hethel Yellow stripes and pinstripes, Type 38-inspired Hethel Yellow tailpipes, an anodised metal fuel filler, silver mirror caps, and unique bespoke ‘CLARK’ badging.

A tribute to an era and its iconic driver.
