The Lotus Emira 420 Sport is essentially the most focused factory Emira yet: more power, less weight, more aero, and a more track-oriented chassis while retaining the mid-engine Emira formula.

Key highlights
420 PS / 416 bhp from the AMG-sourced 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 500 Nm (369 lb-ft).
8-speed dual-clutch transmission, with an emphasis on quicker acceleration and stronger mid-range response.
0–62 mph in 3.9 seconds and 186 mph top speed according to Lotus.
Lotus describes it as the lightest and most powerful Emira to date.
With the optional Lightweight Handling Pack, it's 25 kg lighter than the Emira Turbo.
The chassis sits 5 mm lower.
Lightweight Handling Pack

This is arguably what makes the 420 Sport especially interesting. The package includes:

Two-way adjustable Multimatic dampers
Titanium exhaust
Lithium-ion 12V battery
Carbon-fiber components
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires
Lotus Track Performance app for recording and analyzing lap times.
Serious aero improvements

The changes aren't just cosmetic. Lotus adds a more aggressive front splitter, front wheel-arch vents, larger/revised air intakes, extended side sills, lip spoiler and louvred tailgate.

With the Lightweight Handling Pack, Lotus says the car generates 25 kg more downforce than the Emira Turbo without increasing drag. Cooling also improves, including 15% more airflow to the outboard radiators and 30% more airflow for exhaust-valve cooling.

A cool surprise: removable roof

Lotus also introduced an optional removable tinted-glass roof panel alongside the 420 Sport, a first for the Emira. It's available across the broader Emira range rather than being exclusive to the 420 Sport.
