PERFORMANCE
The 2024 Lotus Emira will be outfitted with one of two engines. Experienced Lotus drivers will no doubt remember the Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter supercharged V6 that was also used to power the Lotus Exige and Evora performance cars.
The other engine option is all-new to the Lotus brand. It's a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder 'i4' engine. This engine was developed by the high-performance experts in the AMG division of Mercedes-Benz. The engineers at AMG have specially tailored this engine to work exclusively for the 2024 Lotus Emira with fundamental changes made to the in-line four-cylinder set-up that augment the Emira's unique chassis design. The 2024 Lotus Emira will be capable of a power output of 360 hp with the four-cylinder engine, and 400 hp with the V6. It will scoot from 0 to 60 mph is time of less than 4.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 180 mph.
When ordering an Emira, customers will have to choose between a relaxed suspension setup with softer springs and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires, or a performance-focused setup with stiffer springs and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
