Lotus Christens new Track with an Exciting Event

Lotus Cars has had their headquarters in the small village of Hethel in Norfolk, England since 1966, setting up shop that year in the old Royal Air Force station.  It was here that all their historical models and race cars were manufactured and tested, and this continues even today.

Last month was full of excitement for Lotus, as the revised and restored test track in Hethel, was unveiled during a sensational event.

On the forefront of this event were some of the past and present racing legends for Lotus, with Nigel Mansell leading off the grand opening in his classic 1980 Essex-Lotus 81B.  Take a look at some highlights from this event below:

The test track in Hethel has seen all the past and present new Lotus models grace its blacktop, and to see it restored for the future is exciting.
