Proud, beaming Lotus executives pulled the sheet from the new Lotus Evora 400 in front of a crowd of breathless spectators. And breathless they should be--this gorgeous new model, based on the classic 2+2 sports car Lotus Evora, is lighter, faster, and more powerful than ever before. It boasts a rise to 400 horsepower and 302 lb.-ft. of torque from a 2.5L supercharged V6 engine, and lapped Lotus' test track 6 seconds faster than its predecessor.
Drivers can also look forward to a cat-like, face-stretching acceleration: the new Lotus Evora 400, so named for its power output, can leap to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, and has a maximum top speed of right around 186 mph.
