There's already lots to love about the fast road car that Lotus has to offer. The Lotus Evora 400 has dropped 50 pounds of weight, gained 55 horsepower, and added a limited-slip rear differential. It's a street legal track monster, and after a one-year absence it's now legal in the United States...

Fasten your seatbelts. This is the fastest production Lotus road car ever. The 400 refers to the horsepower count of the Toyota Camry-derived V6, which adds a charge cooler to an Edelbrock supercharger, ratcheting torque up to 302 pound-feet between 3,500-6,500 rpm. The Evora is at its best at 5000 and above.

This morning Lotus issued a press release announcing a limited edition Evora 400 in honor of the Hethel Factory's 50th anniversary.

On February 27, Lotus issued a press release announcing an exciting new addition to the esteemed Evora lineup.
